A stone's throw from Belval Abbey in the heart of Ternois, the Warapot Farm has been developing its organic farming practices that respect the environment since 1998. The "Biocohérence" quality label certifies that our animals eat hay and other feed produced on the farm.
You will find a whole range of local products:
- dairy products: butter, fresh cream, yoghurt, cheese, milk and buttermilk
- potatoes: Agria and Ditta
Yoghurt : made from partially skimmed milk. Different types of yoghurt: plain, plain stirred, flavoured (strawberry, wild berry, raspberry, apricot, lemon, vanilla) with organic flavourings
Gourmet lovers should try some of our plain stirred yoghurt with added jam; nettle, blackcurrant, lime blossom, etc.
Buttermilk : Buttermilk is the non-fat part of cream that is obtained during churning to make butter. Buttermilk has excellent dietary qualities!
Fresh cheese : we sell skimmed, partially skimmed, full-cream fromage frais and faisselle cheese
Our cheese can be eaten alone or with a touch of something sweet or savoury!
Butter : you can choose between our two types of butter: Unsalted and lightly salted butter
Farmhouse butter changes in taste and colour depending on what the cows are fed. This ranges from a yellow straw colour (grassy) in summer to a lighter colour in winter (alfalfa hay)!
We sell two types of potato for a range of flavours. The DITTA variety has a firm texture and is great in salads because it keeps its shape. It is also excellent fried, cooked in butter or steamed. The AGRIA variety is more suited for making mashed potato and chips. Both types of potato are delicious baked in the oven.
